We had over 500 entries for the Photo Competition that was announced back in mid-May. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Sorry for taking a few extra days to choose the winners – it wasn’t easy but this is what we finally decided.

I tattooed an old buddy today – I’ve been tattooing him since way back when. Today we did a samurai on his thigh with a couple lotus flowers. It’s gonna look awesome when it’s finished.
Jose and I took a spin around Miami on our bikes and we shot a timelapse of that as well.
Here’s a still to give you an idea. I’ll post the video as soon as its edited.
I got a this camera the other day – it’s a super small, waterproof HD camera that shoots both stills and video. It’s called the GoPro HD Hero and it’s one of the coolest cameras I’ve ever used.
It mounts to handlebars, helmets, chests, surfboards, snowboards/skis, cars, heads — almost anything!
It records on an SD card and it runs for about 2 hours before needing to recharge the batteries.
I did a little test the other day – camera facing upwards in the backyard towards the sky. I set the camera to take a single photo every two seconds and left it there for a couple hours. The workflow was a little tricky since the photos had to be cropped before making a movie out of the stills. I think I got the hang of it so now I’m ready to shoot some real timelapse video.
The song is called, “Hope” – by Kendra Springer – I got in on a website called Jamendo – a community of free, legal and unlimited music published under Creative Commons licenses. This is a good resource for private, youtube videos not for commercial use. Just make sure you give credit to the artist!
Here are some other clips online shot with the GoPro HD:
